AMED - MED TUHAD-FED Co-chair Eylem Birtane stated that they will take the Justice Watch action to a different stage and will make a statement when the preparations are completed.

It was announced that the Justice Watch, which is initiated by the relatives of the prisoners in many cities with the demands of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan's physical freedom and the solution of the Kurdish issue, will continue with different actions. The program for the action in Amed, Wan, Êlih, Adana, Mersin, Istanbul and Izmir is expected to be clarified in the coming days. MED Detainee and Convict Families Federation of Legal and Solidarity Associations (MED TUHAD-FED) Co-chair Eylem Birtane spoke about the protest carried out by the prisoners' relatives.

Stating that there has been an unprecedented isolation in the world against PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan, Birtane said: "Isolation is no longer a political problem, but has become a humanitarian and conscientious problem. Isolation has spread to the entire society. On November 27, hunger strike resistance began in prisons. Later, Justice Watch action started by the mothers. And the Freedom March was held."

WORKS CONTINUE

Stating that their action needed to move to a different stage, Birtane reminded the prisoners to end their hunger strike and boycott the courts and their family meetings and phone calls. Birtane said: "In this regard, our priority was what the mothers at the Justice Watch wanted. We received their opinions on what kind of action they wanted to initiate. In line with these opinions, we will move to a new stage. Our work in this direction continues. Once our preparations are completed, we will decide on the course of our action. We will make a statement.”

Birtane, who wants the new action they will initiate to be embraced, said: "First of all, it should be embraced by women and young people. We want all political parties and institutions to approach our action sensitively and embrace our action. We believe that we will succeed. We have succeeded before. It is possible again."
