NEWS CENTER- Stating that Turkey deliberately targeted civilians in Federated Kurdistan Region, journalist Aras İbrahim said: "KDP is an accomplice of the massacre carried out by Turkey."

The attacks launched by Turkey, on April 17 with cooperation of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), on the Zap, Metina and Avaşin regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region continue. Turkey, which couldn't achieve the results it desired, used chemical weapons. Perex village in Zakho was bombed by Turkish soldiers with howitzers on July 20. As a result of the bombardment, 9 people, including a baby, lost their lives and 23 people were injured. The Iraqi government, which kept silent against the attacks in the region for three months, gave a harsh response after the attacks on Perex village and the people took to the streets.

Journalist Aras İbrahim made evaluations to the Mesopotamia Agency(MA) regarding the latest developments in the region.

'KDP HAS COOPERATION WITH TURKEY'

Stating that the massacre was carried out under the supervision of some forces, journalist İbrahim said: "Turkish state continues to invade and massacre the people. The Zakho massacre is the the result of Turkish invasion. Turkey aimed to expand its borders in the south and Iraq. Turkey had achieved results in the previos attacks and massacres agaist Southern Kurdistan because no serious attitude  was taken against these attacks of Turkish state. Since August 2015, 138 civilians have been martyred in the attacks carried out on the Kurdistan Region by Turkish state but the Iraq government did not protect its citizens against these massacres. In the last attacks, the also the Iraqi government didn't protect its people. The KDP is an accomplice of Turkey in these massacres and attacks in the past and today.

'PEOPLE CAN'T BREATH'

Stating that the Southern Kurdistan is invaded by MIT in partnership with KDP, İbrahim said: "There are the invasions of Turkish state in all four parts of Kurdistan. The attacks became more extensive and violent after the KDP officials visited Turkey.
It turned out that the massacre of Zakho was an MIT plan. In the south, MIT and KDP are organising themselves and forming a network and the purpose of all these is that people can't breath. The massacres are planned. A delegation was sent to investigate the are the massacre took place. Turkish state wants to blame PKK for the massacre, but PKK has no borders with that place and weapons in there. As a result of the research, it was learned that the massacre was carried out by Turkish state.

'TURKISH STATE IS USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS'

İbrahim said: "According to a statement of CPT, Turkish state bombed the turist area of Perex village four times and targeted civilians. The Turkish state tries to intimidate the poeple. Turkish state has used chemical weapons and continues to use them and also Turkish state wants to turn the region into a desert with attacks because it does not only harm the public, but also the environment. These attacks and massacres of the Turkish state must be stopped. Turkey's attacks are not only against the Kurdish people, but also the entire population of the Middle East. European countries should put pressure on Turkey. For the war between Ukraine and Russia, both NATO and other powers opposed the war. However, after this war, Turkey launched a comprehensive war against Kurdistan, but no one stood up against it. It is clear that NATO completely supports Turkey in this war."
