Supporting Abdullah Öcalan’s February 27 call, French historian Jean-Numa Ducange said: "If internationalism still has meaning, then that meaning must be concretely realized here; the common future of the Turkish and Kurdish peoples must be guaranteed."

Syrian and Egyptian intellectuals expressed their participation in the "I want to visit with Abdullah Öcalan" campaign and emphasised that "Öcalan has been a philosopher representing the will of the peoples with his philosophy and science in democratic and ethical politics".
