Political prisoners: We are faced to face with an execution system unlike any other in anywhere in the world

İZMİR - The political prisoners, who conveyed the increasing violations of rights in prisons in a letter they wrote, demanded support for the  Justice Watch sit in protests all over Turkey, saying, "We are faced with an execution system unlike any other in anywhere in the world."
 
The prisoners in İzmir Şakran No. 2 Type T Closed Prison conveyed the increasing pressures, ill-treatment and violations of rights in the prison in a letter they wrote. The prisoners evaluated the reasons for the increasing oppressive policies in Turkey from the inside out and demanded support for those who struggle for justice, especially in İzmir, İstanbul, Diyarbakır and Van.
 
SOCIAL PROBLEMS
 
Stating that there is a great chaos and depression as a result of the policies developed by the political power in Turkey, the prisoners stated that Turkey is drifting away from democratic and legal principles every day, as well as creating a conflicting in society that separates and makes the society hostile against each other. Stating that there is a major economic crisis in the country, the prisoners stated that the social problems arising from the economic crisis are increasing day by day. 
 
'WE ARE NOT HEARD'
 
In the continuation of the letter, in which it was stated that the government considers everyone as an enemy except itself and applies the enemy's law, the following statements were made: Everyone demanding their rights and object to the government's policies are either arrested or intimidated. As such, there is no security of life for these social segments. The corruption, bribery and the relations of the government with the mafia are reflected to the public through confessions in courts. These situations are reflected even more in prisons. As political prisoners, we are faced with huge problems and unlawfulness inside. Unfortunately, we cannot find a platform to voice our problems and our troubles. We are currently faced with an execution system anlike anywhere else in the world. Although our prison sentences expired, we are not released and our sentences are being extended.
 
CALL FOR SUPPORT TO SIT-IN PROTESTS FOR JUSTICE
 
Unfortunately, the justice watch protests, which concerns the whole society in the person of the prisoners, does not receive sufficient attention and support. As prisoners in Şakran Campus, we think that the justice watches should be supported and expanded by all social segments. As political prisoners inside, we support the sit-in for justice initiated by our families. We invite the democratic public and all social segments to support this peaceful sit-in and to raise awareness in the public.”
