'WE WILL NEVER FORGET KORKUT'

Making a short speech at the commemoration, HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar said, "Newroz is the day of hope for a new life. It is the day when the enthusiasm for life revives, but since 2017, there is a fire that burns with pain in our hearts every Newroz. The name of this fire is Kemal Kurkut. Kemal Kurkut, a young person of ours, came to Newroz square with enthusiasm for life, enthusiasm for new life. He was murdered here, in front of the eyes of the world, with the eyes of the world. We commemorate him once again with love and mercy. "The murder that was committed openly was thus cleared by the judiciary, with the contribution of various organs of the state. But those verdicts are not valid for us. We sentenced our brother Kemal, those who murdered our souls, in our hearts and memories forever. We promised to keep our brother Kemal alive, too. We promised to keep his enthusiasm for life alive. We have a promise to keep the passion for freedom and the hope of a new beginning alive. Dear Kemal, we invite all peoples to keep this promise to you. Our young people, especially the young people, are in all areas of the struggle and this struggle will definitely be successful. You will live in our hearts as a symbol of the success of this struggle."

After the speech, the politicians left carnations at the place where Kurkut was shot and went to the Newroz area.
