ÊLIH - Mehmet Emin Cam, a seriously ill prisoner, had a heart attack in the prison where he was sent after his treatment. Cam was hospitalised and taken under treatment in the intensive care unit.
Mehmet Emin Cam, 73, is being held in Batman Beşiri T-Type Closed Prison and is on the list of seriously ill prisoners of the Human Rights Association (IHD). According to the information obtained Cam had a heart attack last night and was taken to Batman Training and Research Hospital. Cam was taken under treatment in the intensive care unit after angiography. It is learnt that Cam's life is still in danger.
Cam, who has many diseases, was hospitalised on 10 April. Çam was kept in hospital for a night and was sent to prison again on 11 April after tests. He was detected to have a tumour in his brain and had undergone heart and cataract surgeries once, kidney surgery twice and was paralysed on his left side.
