NEWS CENTER - Stating that the attacks continued despite the ceasefire decision, the HPG noted that 627 bombardments were carried out against their areas in 4 days.

 

Following Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's "Call for Peace and Democratic Society" announced to the public on 27 February, the PKK decided to cease fire. However, attacks against Zap, Avashin (Avaşîn), Gare (Garê) and Metina (Metîna) areas continue.

 

In the HPG statement published in Fırat News Agency (ANF), it was stated that despite the ceasefire decision, the attacks continued uninterruptedly from land and air. The statement said that Girê Bahar Area in Zap region was bombed twice by warplanes on 15 and 17 April.

 

627 BOMBARDMENT

 

In the statement, it was recorded that on 15, 16, 17 and 18 April, Heftebax, Mijê, Dêreşê and Zêvkê areas of Garê region were bombed 131 times, Girê Amediyê and Girê Bahar areas of West Zap region were bombed 439 times, Serê Metîna and Bêşîlî areas of Metîna region were bombed 57 times, a total of 627 times with heavy weapons, artillery and howitzers, and it was stated that helicopter activity was observed over Girê Bahar and Girê Cûdî areas on 16 and 17 April.
