Police violence against pregnant women in Adana

ADANA - In Yüreğir, the police intervened in a fight between two groups due to the mukhtar elections, using batons and pepper gas, and subjected a pregnant woman to the hospital.

 
In Yamaçlı District of Yüreğir district of Adana, a fight broke out between two groups yesterday (April 3) over the mukhtar elections. The police intervened in the fight with pepper gas and batons and used violence against the men and women involved in the street. Police brutality was recorded on a mobile phone by a citizen who witnessed the incident. In the footage, it was seen that dozens of police intervened in two groups, and a woman was repeatedly beaten with batons even though she fell to the ground, and the same violence was applied to the man who was covering her.
 
 
The police can be heard beating the citizen who was recording the events on his mobile phone and saying, "Turn off the phones. What are you filming?"
 
POLICE VIOLENCE AGAINST PREGNANT WOMEN
 
While those involved in the fight were later detained, it was learned that the woman who was subjected to police violence in the middle of the street is pregnant and was hospitalized after the incident. However, no information is available about the woman's health condition.
