NEWS CENTER - At least 24 people were killed in Israel's attack on a school in Gaza.
Israel's attacks on Gaza continue. Israel targeted Fahmi al-Jargawi School, where displaced civilians are sheltering in Gaza, at night. According to the BBC, the Hamas civil defence stated that at least 20 bodies were taken out of the school after the attacks and that some of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition. It was reported that there were many children among the dead, while 4 more people were killed in another airstrike in the centre of Gaza the same night.
Israel's attacks on Gaza were launched in retaliation for the attack by Hamas on 7 October 2023, in which 1,200 people were killed. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, at least 53,939 people have died since then. 16,500 of the dead are children.
